Essential Responsibilities:
- Learn care plans for residents and provide services to residents using their care plan.
- Provide assistance or total care for grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs.
- Lift, move, and transport residents manually and with aid devices.
- Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services.
- Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
- Answer resident's requests for service promptly.
- Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.

- Communicates effectively and compassionately, to use appropriate interventions while considering resident individuality.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and employees.

Education, Training, Experience:
- High school graduate or successful completion of GED.
- Previous experience caring for the elderly with memory loss preferred.
Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications:
- Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.
Physical Demands:
- The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; balance; pull, push, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch; and perform various other physical tasks.
