Job Description
We are seeking a Pallet Repair Operator to join our East Syracuse, NY team. If you have experience using pneumatic nail guns and saws, can sweat through 8-hours of heavy lifting, and a have strong work ethic, a Pallet Repair position with CHEP could be a great fit!
- 2 Shifts Available:
- 1st shift - M-F 5am-1:30pm - $21/hour
- 2nd shift - M-F 2pm-10:30pm - $23/hr (includes $2/hr differential) - Weekly Pay with Direct Deposit

Role and Responsibilities
Uses a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets. In a repair department places pallet on repair table, removes defective boards, replaces new boards, and nails replaced boards into place. In an assembly department takes stock boards and nails together based on type of pallet desired. Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of the saw.
Work requires operator to stand for long periods of time. Operators must be able to repeatedly lift a pallet weighing 60-75 lbs. Nail guns must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Repair Operators must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Repair Operators must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Preferred Skills
2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.
