SalaryDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Beginning painters can expect to: stage projects by independently lifting and placing ladders up to 32’, assembling scaffolding, and preparing indoor environments for painting; clean and prepare surfaces using a variety of tools: sandpaper, steel wool, scrapers, or soap and water; become familiar with instruments used for varnish, stain, shellac, and fine paints; perform finishing tasks, such as trimming windows and doors, caulking cracks, glazing windows, and hanging wall-coverings; mix paints, varnishes, shellacs, and enamels; cleans and stores brushes; maintain safe and ethical work environments. Qualified candidates will have a keen eye for detail and an ability to follow directives. Anticipate working on a variety of residential and commercial projects. Employees will uphold the company practice of providing excellent service.
