Job Description
Volt is currently hiring an industrial painter for our client's Mabank, TX location.
As an industrial painter you will:
• Work under close supervision using verbal instructions and some engineering documentation as guidance.
• Learn to use shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment. Must pass medical clearance and not be claustrophobic, masking parts, load and unload racks, get certified on forklift, overhead crane, and touch up.
• Wear ear plugs, blast suit and helmet.
• Prepare parts for painting, preparing the paint booth, and completing paint activities. Use overhead cranes, different size forklifts, computers, printers, hand tools, parts rack and stands, equipment used in the blasting and painting process. Wet film tester, and dry film tester (mil check).
• Tear down packages and parts received from customer or other Solar locations, cleaning and preparing same for refurbishment.
• Determine if parts are reusable, locating replacement parts from any of several possible locations. Reassembling sections of the package.
• Apply increasing knowledge of mechanical assembly to work package parts, per customer requirements.
Qualifications:
• Some experience required with painting (airless, HVLP HP,) or sandblasting
• Some exposure to mechanics or electronics, or familiarity with shop floor procedures is strongly preferred. Formal courses at the high school level or junior college in electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, shop procedures, or the equivalent in work experience is necessary.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required and will be verified.
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
