The Position:


The Painter and Resurfacer will be responsible for completing large and small-scale painting projects along with standard apartment resurfacing needs. Painting projects to include, apartment interiors, hallways, doors, office and amenity repainting and touch ups as assigned by the Director of Maintenance & Construction. Resurfacing projects to include, resurfacing of bath tubs, sinks, and countertops.


Job Duties:


  • Check walls, patch and/or repair as necessary
  • Maintain written status board and/or use provided check list
  • Paints all assigned surfaces per project scope, as assigned by Director of Maintenance & Construction, using drop cloths to protect company and personal property
  • Performs all repairs related to interior walls and doors (i.e., patch sheet rock, tape and float, shoot acoustics, apply texture, sand re-varnish doors)
  • Paints and touches up common areas as needed or scheduled by supervisor
  • Resurface bathtubs, sinks, and countertops as needed
  • Maintains adequate stock of materials, notifying supervisor when to reorder in a timely manner
  • Maintains tools and equipment in good safe working order
  • Incorporates both safety and customer service in the performance of all job duties
  • Maintains consistent and punctual attendance record
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • High school graduate or GED
  • Paint sprayer and/or maintenance experience required
  • Apartment Make Ready experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
