Form of workThe Pain Management Technician-LPN provides support for physicians and RN's throughout pain procedures by preparing, providing and caring for instruments and equipment, and maintaining a sterile field. Other duties may include floating to Pre/Post department and assisting with preoperative and Phase II postoperative patient care. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs selective nursing acts in the care of the ill, injured, or infirm patient under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provide nursing care in accordance which departmental and hospital policy and procedures.
The person in this position works under supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required on the Gulf Breeze Hospital and Baptist Hospital campuses, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
