Shifts: 1st shift – 6am to 4:30pm

Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $18.00 – 20.00hr + benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Colfax and may not be applicable to other locations.

About our Endura Products Division

We are excited to welcome Endura to the Masonite family in 2023. The company is a leading innovator and manufacturer of high-performance door frames and door system components, operating out of four facilities in NC, TX and OR.

Overview:

The primary purpose of this position is to build customer order skids from the carton pack out stations and coordinate the completion of orders to the freight area. This person is keeping up with 4 packing lines while handling up to 50 orders at one time. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills in addition to a strong work ethic is required to be successful in this position.

What you will do:

· Utilize the vacuum lift for all loads, including 3’ and 6’ boxes weighing over 35 lbs. This operator must use this lift assist and follow these specific procedures for this area. There is no tolerance for varying from these procedures without discussion with the supervisor. Must be able to operate and follow all SOPs for the overhead crane system for transporting cartons.

• A lineal (6’ or greater) package should never be handled without assistance from someone else.
• Follow all vacuum lift SOPs and safety precautions.
• The pack out order coordinator is responsible for organizing all carton pack boxes by sales orders. They must follow all packaging procedures associated with the Lantech ringer tunnel wrapper
• Organize the orders and the pack out boxes from each order and determine when they are ready to complete and send through the Lantech.
• Maintain effective communication with all packers, packing cell leader and with the freight dept. Being a team player is a necessity.
• Must be able to fully operate the controls and control panel for the conveyor system. This includes all manual jogging functions for the chains, powered conveyor sections, build stations, etc.
• This operator must always be willing to help the other packers or work in other areas due a lack of volume, absenteeism, or flexibility reasons. The order coordinator must be able to maintain all packer expectations, so that their productivity is not hindered.
• Ability to follow all packing procedures. In most cases, the order coordinator should be an experienced packer. Perform all quality inspections of size, appearance, squareness, spec reading, horn and notch specs, cover/gasket, and special packing instruction.
• Exercise excellent housekeeping and organizational habits. This includes the regular daily and weekly PMs for the conveyor equipment, such as blowing out debris from conveyors and beneath equipment, looking for air leaks, frayed electrical wiring, and inspecting e-stops.
• All proper lifting techniques must be followed. Lineal and odd shaped boxes may require a second person. Always lift at the knees and not at the back.
• Good attendance is essential. This includes being in the packing dept before the second buzzer sounds after lunch and breaks.
• Must be capable of moving at least 360 cartons per 8 hr. shift.

What you will need:

· A high school diploma or GED certificate.

· Approximately 6 months of work experience is required to become skilled in all phases of the job.

· Must be capable of reading a tape measure and new measuring equipment.

· Must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
