Job summary

The Zippy Shell / 1-800-PACK-RAT Logistics Division is looking for a someone to join our team in a remote working environment. In the role, you’ll be responsible for following up with carriers, internal warehouse staff and internal operational staff who require updates, answers to logistics questions, and guidance on shipping challenges throughout the country. This role requires fast thinking, problem solving skills, ability to effectively communicate both via email and over the phone and must possess immaculate overall customer service skills.

Primary job responsibilities

• Effectively handle 40 to 75 emails per day from carriers, warehouse staff, and internal operations teams
• Make outbound calls to investigate issues, solve problems, and narrow down solutions to ongoing network and logistical challenges
• Must be able to think outside the box, address complicated scenarios in a quick time frame, and determine best solutions to a wide array of issues/challenges
• Effectively communicate and build relationships with key contacts at all warehouse locations
• Update TMS Management System and CRM system to all completed touches
• Contact carriers for live updates, ETA’s, and coach them through any challenges at our facility locations
• Consult with Freight Division staff on areas of improvement, workflow challenges and communication methods
• Must have the ability to multitask with many different software applications at one time
• Posses the ability to constantly learn, absorb changes, and process new information as the department continues to improve its overall workflow
• Apply a consultative approach with coworkers, external staff, internal staff and management to get to the root cause of issues or challenges

Required skills

• 2+ years of proven operational success
• Track record of consistently meeting and exceeding daily, weekly and monthly targets
• Strong verbal and written presence with experience in an outbound phone/email environment
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• PC proficiency with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Salesforce experience is a plus
• Knowledge of moving/storage or logistics industry is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and or equivalent work experience
