Packaging Laborer - Kansas City, KS
  • Pay Rate: $14.00/hr.
  • Orientations on Wednesdays at 10:00 am
  • Shift: All three shifts available, potential for overtime and weekend work
  • 1st Shift 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • 2nd Shift 4:00pm - 12:00am
  • 3rd Shift 12:00am - 8:00am
  • Temporary Contract position with Raise.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.

Raise has partnered with ADM, and they are seeking to hire entry-level Packaging Laborers in Kansas City, KS.
The Packaging Laborer is responsible for bagging all finished product per SOP's for the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Place finished product in proper packaging as stated on the BMI
  • Ensure finished product amount is accurate when compared to the BMI
  • Ensure the proper material is bagged within the correct labeled container
  • Verify the lot number, pallet cards, product code, and tag code listed on the ingredient is placed on the batch ticket
  • Take product samples on specified batches for 3rd party testing and retain samples.
  • Ensure product quality expectations are met and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed.
  • Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and complete all listed housekeeping duties on the master sanitation schedule
  • Operate both toting and bagging lines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds, follow and understand instructions in English.
  • Able to stand for long hours
  • No previous experience required, but having worked in the food production industry, an industrial manufacturing or warehouse environment would be a definite asset.

Workers need to have:
  • Safety toe shoes/boots
  • Jeans/long pants
  • Tshirt or long sleeve shirt
  • No hats, jewelry (earrings, rings, watches, etc)
  • Shoulder length or longer hair will need to be in a bun or put into a hairnet here
  • Cell phones are not permitted on the production floor, so they are recommended to leave them in their car or backpacks.
