Role Overview
Packaging Line Workers fill a variety of roles upon completion of on-the-job training. Line Workers will be required to train in multiple positions and may rotate tasks and duties, depending on production needs. All Line Workers, regardless of assigned position, must assist the Line Leaders with setting up and tearing down the line at the beginning and end of the production shift, as well as during product change-overs.
Personnel in the Stacker position are responsible for stacking the finished goods into a container or onto a skid (according to Production Schedule) while operating the appropriate lift aid equipment. This position is required to follow all good manufacturing practices and demonstrate/practice safe work habits.
Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities
- Sets up the stacking area at the start of the production shift, including the stacker table or the EZ Lift Machine
- Stacks cases on skids according to the appropriate pallet pattern for the finished goods’ box size
- Checks that the proper labeling and jet printing is on each finished package
- Records the number of cases and the skid number for each completed pallet
- Retrieves Q.A. samples and records the case number, time and employee’s initials
