1st shift Packaging Entry

Summary/Objective
The packaging worker performs all tasks involved with the packaging of the finished product. This position follows all good manufacturing practices and practices safe work habits to ensure packaging is as efficient and safe as possible.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 6 am - 4pm, Overtime required.
Essential Functions:

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
• Putting together shipper boxes
• Lining boxes
• Folding the liners or bags closed
• Lid, pack, and label loaves of cheese
• Stacking of tubes, boxes, and trays of cheese
• Operation of boxing machinery
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid work history is a must
• Prior food manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices a plus

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time- (10 hour days)
• Ability to work with hands doing repetitive motions for full shift
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. repeatedly and up to 50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to talk, hear and carry out directions in a safe and efficient manner

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
