We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Packaging and Marketing Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the internal development of packaging for a big box retailer and will be responsible for supporting the business leaders in all aspects of packaging design, design approvals, and production.
Location: NYC/Hybrid (two days min in office)
Job Type: Full-time Internship
Hourly Rate: $16.00
Start Date: April 2024
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with each team to understand packaging requirements and project goals.
- Design and develop packaging concepts using Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Ensure packaging design is consistent with brand standards.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure timely delivery of packaging materials.
- Assist in the creation of presentations, print materials, and other marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of packaging projects.
- Collaborate with external partners on creation of mockups and materials for packaging.
- Communicate and track approvals of all packaging items across brands and retailers.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Excellent design skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing packaging design work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, or a related field (preferred)
