NEED THIS:Pharma industry working with plastics and mold
Want someone on a hybrid basis to lead and manage some large global projects.
Its very specific Package Engineering within the industry working with plastics, molds, etc.
This can basically be even at an Associate Director level. This is a senior level position .
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the global packaging value realization strategy in alignment with overall business goals of Client's Value Chain (R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing, Design)
Lead a global team of packaging professionals to bring together regional value realization priorities to be converted to enterprise-wide platforms, standardization and value engineering opportunities that drives global value, scale, agility and resiliency
Lead global projects in cross functional teams to strategize and execute consumer-centric value realization opportunities and deliver on set annual targets for assigned projects meeting the intended design, quality, cost, risk, sustainability, functionality, and manufacturability objectives
Lead initiatives in collaboration with Supply Chain by identifying efficiencies and implementing innovative packaging solutions, including introducing new applicable technologies both within and outside our industry that drives cost efficiency while improving agility and product quality without compromising fill/assembly efficiency. Build business case for moving forward with such technologies by working closely with a cross function team
Leverage effective Project Management approaches and Right the First Time digital predictive assessments (such as FEA, Simulations, CAD analysis, etc) in order to effectively support key initiatives, and effectively influence project teams to get the desired outcome
Guide the team to provide comprehensive feasibility of each concept or package that defines function, manufacturability, component cost, tooling estimates, preliminary development lead time, risk and global consistency
Develop and maintain strong relationships with packaging suppliers, ensuring reliable and cost-effective supply chains
Collaborate with regional packaging teams to ensure global consistency in packaging standards, branding, and compliance with local regulations
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to packaging to drive innovation and ensure compliance
Manage and mentor a team of packaging professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence
Prepare and present comprehensive reports on packaging value realization metrics, achievements, and recommendations to senior management
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Packaging/Mechanical/Industrial/Technical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience (15+ years) in packaging engineering, value realization, or a related field, with a focus on global operations
Min. of 3-5years People Management experience
Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing packaging value realization initiatives and achieving cost savings
Experience in project management, process optimization, and change management
Demonstrated success in end-to-end partnering and influencing across a highly matrixed environment with an exceptional track-record of problem solving, decision-making, and executing with excellence even when stakeholders have divergent points of view
Strong understanding of packaging processes, materials, design principles, and sustainability practices
Technical competency in analysis of geometric objects in 2D and 3D including understanding of clearances, fit and finish of packaging components and subcomponents
Comprehensive knowledge of materials used in the construction and manufacturing of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging including knowledge of decorating techniques
Comprehensive knowledge of test methods, modeling and simulation used to validate component/package performance
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive informed decision-making
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to inspire and motivate teams toward shared goals
Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to packaging
A strong and diverse external network of subject matter experts who will complement internal expertise
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies
Financial acumen to effectively convey business risks, opportunities, and strategies
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
