Overnight Security Officer (Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues) - Bergen Town Center Mall

We currently have a Part Time (32 Hours) Security Officer position available for the Overnight Shift (11pm to 7:30am) on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at the Bergen Town Center Mall in Paramus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Secure property and personnel by effective patrol techniques; monitoring cameras, inspecting property, buildings and equipment.
• Stays calm and collected during stressful times and interacts with others to de-escalate aggressive behavior.
• Immediately notifies management and authorities of emergencies and adheres to the chain of command.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Directs pedestrians and motorists in an orderly fashion to control traffic.
• Completes reports by recording observations in a timely and precise manner.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with policies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing responsibilities in a professional approach to achieve exceptional results.

Requirements are as follows:

• Must possess a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE in good standing.
• Must possess a valid SORA license.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols in designated areas
• Must have the ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Must have the ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Respond to alarms and security-related incidents and notify management and or emergency services
• EXPERIENCE WORKING OVERNIGHT SHIFTS IS PREFERRED.

• Officer Pay $15.50/hr
