Outside Service Associate

Outside Service Associate Job Description:

As a member of the Calumet Country Club Golf Operations Team, the Outside Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests in equipping them with well maintained golf carts and through the maintenance of driving range facilities.

Candidates for this position must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may require early mornings, weekends and holidays if needed and must be available to work anytime within the hours of 5:30 am to 7:00 p.m. any of the 7 days of the week (may be subject to change based upon business need).

Supervised By: Club Manager

Specific Responsibilities - (include but are not limited to):

• Initiates contact with guest with a warm welcome and the willingness to assist the guest.
• Serves the guest with respect and courtesy in all interactions.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures for Outside Service areas.
• Stage golf carts for daily play.
• Assist guests with equipment to and from parking lot.
• Ensure cart staging surrounding area is kept clean.
• Ensure practice balls picked and cleaned from driving range tee boxes and range during the shift and at close each night.
• Ensure all service work areas are cleaned and readied for next day’s operations (Bag drops, cart barn, driving range).
• Clean golf carts, and stage neatly and orderly with scorecard, pencil, sand and seed mix, bag straps clipped and trash free.
• Ensure all golf carts are washed, dried, stocked and stored each night.
• Ensure golf car rotation strategy followed daily.
• Assist managers with daily and preventive maintenance of golf carts as needed.
• Assist other departments with special events.
• Perform general cleaning tasks.
• Other tasks as assigned by managers and/or supervisors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred minimum 1 years’ experience in customer service/hospitality environment.
• Preferred knowledge and understanding of game of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
• Ability to demonstrate passion for providing exceptional customer service through every guest interaction to create repeat guest visits.
• Demonstrates ability to go above and beyond to meet guest expectations.
• Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
• Must be willing to dress according to golf dress code.
• Able to work well independently with little supervision.
• Ability to learn the structure and function of all clubhouse and golf course.
• Basic mathematical ability, ability to count and reconcile cash.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.35 - $14.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
