Job description

The Outside PartsSales Manager at Transwest and Boyer Trucks that will be responsible for leading a team of 20 Outside Parts sales professionals in providing superior customer service to existing customers, growing Transwest and Boyer Trucks parts market share, and contributing to the growth of all products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies that specifically focus on Aftermarket growth opportunities.
    • Establish sales goals by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for assigned territories.
    • Frequently review territory assignments and ensure adequate customer count is in line.
    • Work closely with the Procurement Team to evaluate new product opportunities.
    • Assist Pricing Team w/ suggested selling prices on fast moving commodity items that the market (or competition) is driving.
    • Work with each Parts Manager in reviewing daily Outside Parts sales personnel call logs.
    • Maintain strong sales staff through assisting Parts Managers in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending clinics; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
    • Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
    • Activities require a full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
    • The position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
    • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 80 pounds.
    • The position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
    • Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
    • Demonstrated successful track record of developing relationships and closing sales.
    • 10+ years of direct industry experience selling heavy-duty truck parts through distribution and/or directly to the end user.
    • 5+ years of experience leading Outside Parts sales teams.
    • Able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
    • Give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
    • They must be able to understand customers, employees, and leaders and be able to communicate effectively with them.
    • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
