Specialist will support AARP Foundation activities and events through outreach and engagement to volunteers, groups, and nonprofits across the nation. Specialist will conduct research in target markets to invite attendees, panelists, and other high level public officials to events.
In addition, specialist will respond to inquiries and provide excellent customer service to volunteers and general public.
Administrative and clerical tasks may be requested of specialist.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines concurrently
Knowledgeable of best practices and effective methods for community engagement, communications, and volunteer programs
Commitment to diversity and serving vulnerable populations, particularly low-income older adults
Able to cultivate relationships within targeted systems and organizations including a diverse population of community leaders, external stakeholders, and program volunteers
Strong project management ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
