Outreach Counselor

Location: Iowa City, IA
Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift Openings Available, Will Consider Full Time or Part Time candidates
Pay: $14.05/hour + Incentive pay eligible up to +$3 more an hour.
Advance Services is looking for caring, Outreach counselors to work with clients 18 years and older who live with chronic mental illness, in agency owned homes, to support and empower them to live more independently.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assisting clients in adaptive skills development, assistance with daily living, community inclusion, transportation, adult educational supports, and social and leisure skill development
Working on progress towards client-identified goals
Developing and practicing symptom management and coping strategies, and identifying triggers
Supporting organizing and structuring of client's schedule and routines
Building community supports through development or interpersonal relationships
Advocating for client and assisting in accessing community resources
Transporting clients for necessary errands, appointments, and obligations
