Job Description
Summary
The Outpatient Therapist works independently in the virtual or office setting, utilizing creative clinical interventions based on best practice models and therapy techniques to work effectively with clients.
Role & Responsibilities
Maintain a caseload of 25-30 appointments per week on average.
Establish effective professional relationship with an awareness of maintaining appropriate boundaries
Provide therapy based on specific treatment objectives.
Provide crisis intervention services to clients as necessary
Facilitating and managing the therapy process according to the Therapist’s guiding theory
Participate in collaborative treatment planning with other providers.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other providers/professionals.
Link clients with external programs or services and benefits for which they may be eligible.
Prepare assessments, treatment plans, progress reports and other documentation as required.
Active participation in supervision and staff meetings.
Other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Active clinical license is preferred (LPC, LCSW, LCP). Residents/Supervisees and applicants near licensure are encouraged to apply.
Must have a personal computer in which to facilitate virtual therapy sessions.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, responding to requests for contact within 48 business hours.
Ability to create a schedule conducive to the client to provide maximum treatment.
Ability to manage time effectively in order to service all clients.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate multicultural competence.
Demonstrate commitment to managing own biases and conflicts that potentially have negative impact on work with clients.
Possess basic computer/keyboarding skills.
Ability to uphold ethical standards.
Successful completion of checks on the Virginia Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry and the Central Criminal Records Exchange. (Any individual named in the child abuse or neglect registry or has been convicted of a crime incompatible with service to children and families will not be permitted to have contact with contracted clients)
Education Requirements
Master’s or Doctoral Degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, rehabilitative therapy, counseling, social work, psychology or closely related field.

Compensation
$32-$60/hour, PTO accrual, and insurance stipend
