ChildServe’s talented, multi-disciplinary team of therapists specializes in pediatric rehab and works together to create plans specific to each child’s need. In the role of Occupational Therapist, you will use play, therapeutic activities, and special techniques to improve self-cares, motor coordination, sensory processing, attention, and visual skills so children can be successful in their world.

- 40 hours per week
- Flexible schedule working during the hours of operation between 8am-6pm

This role is full-time and eligible for health benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403B retirement account. PTO is front-loaded upon hire and starts accruing immediately.
As a non-profit organization, we also participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
What You’ll Do
- Complete all documentation according to ChildServe, AOTA, and third-party regulatory standards.
- Develop individualized plan of care as appropriate to meet the needs of the child/caregiver.
- Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of those involved in a child’s care.
- Confer with the interdisciplinary team, including the physician with developing, implementing, and revising the therapy plan of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
- Review medical, educational, social, and financial information on each client prior to assessment or initiation of treatment.
- Participate in teaching and training other ChildServe staff including orientation, occupational therapy topics, and mentoring for students/interns.
- Provide health information to third party payers as necessary to advocate and secure medically necessary services for client.
- Provide accurate and timely billing and scheduling information to accounting, operations staff and Team Lead
- Participate in internal quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Participate in community functions, marketing, and consultative services as needed.
- Assist in the development of new clinical programs as assigned.
What You’ll Need
- A degree from an AOTA approved occupational therapy program.
- Preferred: Experience with pediatrics
- Preferred: Experience with autism and motor impairment
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
