Job Description: We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill our Farm Hand and Laborer position. This position would involve working with farm equipment, including operating a tractor daily. We are seeking someone who has greenhouse and/or fieldwork experience. The ideal candidate is capable of problem solving and can easily follow instructions. He or she must be able to work overtime during seasonal operations, and during all weather conditions including but not limited to heat, rain, snow and fog. Responsibilities: Farm Labor such as operating, inspecting, repairing, and cleaning farm equipment. Field work such as operating crop machinery and maintain crop related equipment (i.e. irrigators). Maintenance of the property including; plants, irrigation system, roads/isles, greenhouse and surrounding areas. Fertilization, insect and disease monitoring, sanitation, and support for overall plant health & growth. Ability to work safely and consistently in a variety of weather conditions including but not limited to: heat, rain, snow and fog. Hard working with a positive attitude.
Job Requirement:Requirements: 2+ years' experience working in the agricultural sector. Must be 21 years of age. Must have knowledge of various farm equipment and be able to operate farm tractor with attachments, side by side and/or forklift. Highly motivated with strong communication skills. Ability to work in a changing environment and can manage high-stress situations. Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday. Must be open to feedback and additional training, if needed. Ability to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds continuously throughout the workday.
