Outbound Calling Specialist

Heartland Credit Union is looking a positive, friendly, and motivated individual who enjoys customer service and sales to fill our full-time Outbound Calling Specialist position. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Outbound Calling Specialistpromotes a sales and service culture by reaching out to members by phone and recommending Heartland Credit Union products that effectively meet the member or non-member needs. The successful candidate will help members with their full financial picture including opening new accounts, cross-selling HCU products and services, interviewing members regarding loan and credit card applications, conducting sales calls, and performing other operational branch duties.

LOCATION
Our Outbound Calling Specialists can work at either our Support Center, located in Hutchinson at 4000 N. Monroe or in Wichita at 37th & Maize Rd.

HOURS
Outbound Calling Specialists hours are from 8am - 6pm, Monday-Friday

ABOUT THE POSITION

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Conducts outreach calls daily to current and potential members regarding current promotions, products and services.
• Presents and explains HCU services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs including opening new accounts (checking, savings, IRA's, etc.), renewing and redeeming certificate accounts.
• Guide members through the borrowing processes from education/pre-qualification to receiving, reviewing and processing the loan application for consumer (auto, personal, and consolidation), home equity, credit card, and overdraft account loans.
• Meet with loan applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain additional loan information and documentation for underwriting.
• Open new accounts (checking, savings, IRA's, etc.), renewing and redeeming certificate accounts, and assisting members with other financial needs.
• Expected to meet assigned monthly goals for loans, memberships, new checking accounts, and debit and/or credit cards.
• Provides superior service to our members.
• Utilize customer service skills by ensuring members are promptly and professionally served.
• Cross sells credit union products and services.
• Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
• Proactively supports and advances HCU's culture and brand.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate; college degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• One to two years related experience.
• Previous experience with full-service financial institution preferred.
• Previous sales experience preferred.

SKILLS:

• Self-motivated, self-starter, driven to succeed.
• Solid written, verbal and public relation skills.
• Solid time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver's license.
• Requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Will be subject to the required registration process, which includes fingerprinting and a criminal background screening. Fees are paid for by Heartland Credit Union.
• Will be become a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) through CUNA's FiCEP program. Certification fees are paid for by Heartland Credit Union.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.
• Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally.
