- Build and maintain strong relationships with school partners and CRCL staff
- Work with the Social Emotional Learning specialist to assist schools and the before and afterschool programs with providing restorative practices and positive behavioral systems and interventions
- Create a schedule of high-quality afterschool programs with both school staff and outside agencies.
- Ensure staff are planning and facilitating high quality youth development as assessed by the Weikart Youth Program Quality tools.
- Ensure all Nita M. Lowey 21st century grant deliverables are met including evaluations and proper documentation needed for on-site visits
- Build positive relationships parents, students, school staff and community partners
- Support staff with building confidence in facilitation and positive parent engagement
- Manage crisis situations in a calm and effective manner
- Provide in-class facilitation modeling with the goal of building staff skills when necessary.
- Ensure all before and afterschool contracted clubs such as Lego club, Dance etc are paid in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper staffing across all OST Community in Schools program locations.
- Provide reflective supervision with OST mentors
- Ensure all behavior and goal setting discussions between staff/volunteers and youth/families is strengths based, youth centric and solution focused
- Ensure all OST staff are maintaining all supplies, classroom, maker space and common use areas
- Work with eligibility team to recruit, enroll and maintain the minimum number of 21st century before and after school students in each program.
- Fulfill all grant requirements and reporting
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, conferences, workshops, and other professional development activities
- Evaluate and coach staff on high quality activity plans
- Ability to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.

- Passion for youth development and working in OST programs
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to school-age child care, child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation, camping or other related fields. Masters preferred.
- Five (5)+ years’ experience in youth development with at least 2 years of direct youth facilitation experience
- Available to work until 6PM M-F and occasional weekends.
- Experience with collaboration and partnership building inside school systems.
- Proven success in managing staff using strengths-based approach
