Position Details
Responsibilities
- Mentor and lead team of OSP Field Technicians I
- Collect and review field data for accuracy and completeness
- Complete field survey to contribute to make ready solution that meets regional code
- Participate in joint ride outs with utilities
- Participate in field survey to support conduit licensing across multiple utilities
- Manage competing clients, projects and schedules with an attention to deliverable completion and deadlines
- Proficient understanding of all applicable codes, design and construction standards per project
- Take ownership to seek out and understand the guidelines, review pole attachment agreements and NESC/GO95 code
- Process all fielding in required forms or formats for hand off or client deliverable
- Must have a general understanding of accounting/invoicing process
- Provide quality control for field data collected by team, and ensure it follows project requirements
- Identify and effectively communicate roadblocks and/or desired improvements; coordinate with team members and project lead to streamline fielding process and deliverables
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
- Ability to use smartphones, tablets, applications, and web-based programs to complete field or desktop surveys and upload results daily
- 3-5 years of surveying and field experience required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Wireless experience is a plus
- Comfort with Google Earth and GIS based systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Valid driver's license
Travel Expectations: Up to 100% nation wide travel required.
