Osp Field Supervisor

Overview:

A successful OSP Fielder Supervisor shall be responsible for fielder related activities pertaining to a specific project to ensure field engineering activities comply with company/client requirements. At a minimum, the position requires a detailed working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; ability to use Engineering specific computer software and other office related equipment; familiarity with telecommunications architectures; ability to read, understand, interpret, and analyze data; understand best construction practices.

Essential Functions:

In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:

• The ability to work safely, with or without supervision
• The ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness
• The ability to coordinate the activities of others, as well as organize work loads and determine priority of duties
• Experience in managing large complex programs and high volume projects
• Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; exceptional critical thinking ability
• The ability to read and understand highway/road prints and identify conflicts with outside plant facilities
• The ability to perform independently with minimal supervision, exercising latitude to achieve daily objectives
• Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work seated at a table for extended periods

Responsibilities:

• Manage processes effectively and apply expertise to ensure completion of work assignments.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of processes or procedures.
• Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist assigned department/project.
• Read, interpret, input, and analyze data in support of an assigned department/project.
• Additional Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 4 years of related work experience.
• Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in assigned function, example; (Accounting, Engineering, IT, Procurement, Project Mgmt, etc.)
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:

To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed both inside and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation, and in rugged terrain such as back easements, rural locations and at active construction sites. Noise level can range from moderate to loud and from intermediate to constant.
