Job description

Overview

As our Orthopedic Nurse at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital,  you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others - with a patient first mindset. Keen assessment skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency support your career advancement and you thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment where you will rarely experience the same day twice.

About Us:

CHI Health Lakeside is West Omaha's only full-service hospital. We are changing how we approach Med Surg nursing and would love for you to join us!  Virtually Integrated CareSM(VICSM) is a transformational model of care delivery that seamlessly integrates a virtual nurse as part of the interprofessional team. With the VICSM program, our virtual RNs support bedside staff with time-consuming care activities; such as charting, discharges, admissions, care coordination, and patient education and more.

Through this model our patients experience an unparalleled quality of care. Equally as important, our beside nurses gain support, mentorship, and guidance from an experienced virtual nurse.

We are part of CommonSpirit Health which operates 137 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21 states making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.

If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us.
