Chief Purpose of the Position
VCU Dental Care is seeking a talented individual who has previous orthodontic assisting experience to join our Orthodontic Clinic. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to an educational environment.
The assistant will work chairside with each resident to complete orthodontic procedures. Daily tasks to include pour impressions, trim models and make clear retainers. Take intraoral impressions, digital scans and photos as requested by treating doctor. Sterilize instruments and redress chairs after clinical procedures.

- Excellent customer service
- Ability to prioritize patient care
- Superior communication and written skills
- Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft Suite programs
Education level and experience required
- BLS and CPR certification preferred
- Dental office experience required
- Dental x-ray certification required
- Itero scanner experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- DANB Certification preferred
- 3-5 years minimum experience as a Orthodontic Assistant
Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience
