Culberson Orthodontics is a private orthodontic practice seeking a certified Orthodontic Assistant for a full-time position to work in our family-oriented facility. We are looking for someone with a magnetic personality, humor, and a good work ethic to join our fun, unique, and creative team. As an orthodontic office, we get to work with children, teens & adults and are looking for someone who can make patients feel comfortable and at ease as they work towards their new smile.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide all aspects of Clinical Orthodontic Chairside Assisting, including support for the orthodontist as well as team members.
- Engage patients and parents in a manner that makes for a fun and positive experience.
- Prepare examination and treatment areas by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place.
- Assisting in updating and maintaining records with confidentiality.
- Educate parents and patients on how to improve or maintain proper oral hygiene for optimal results.
- Provide an ultimate patient experience with each patient by engaging with the patient and parent (if applicable) and performing clinical duties effectively in the scheduled appointment time.
- Record patient charting and all doctor notes in the digital patient chart as directed by the doctor.
- Complete 3-D iTero scans, x-rays, intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate and instruct patients on general oral health care.
- Maintain adequate inventory supply levels in each chair, replenishing as needed.
- Lab duties to include pouring and trimming plaster models, and making clear “essix” type retainers. You will also learn to work with a 3D printer in the lab.
- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices).
- Regular and punctual attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of clinical orthodontic assisting experience is required.
Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of orthodontic chair side assisting, diagnostic record taking, light lab duties, and sterilization.
Ability to work with children AND adults.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, to think logically, and be able to anticipate next steps.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
