Position: Staff Care Service Center - Organizational Resilience Advisor
Practice: KT Resilience
Status: Full Time
Location: Washington DC (hybrid)
Reports to: TBD
Residency Requirement: Must be eligible to work in the United States and eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance
Travel: Will require international travel, possibly including to higher-risk environments
The KonTerra Group is currently accepting applications from individuals who are available full-time to serve as Organizational Resilience Advisors. Experience in designing, facilitating, and producing virtual group activities is required.

USAID Staff Care Program
The US Agency for International Development (USAID) contracts with Strategic Consulting Partners & the KonTerra Group as a subcontractor, to provide USAID Organizational Resilience (OR) Program support to leaders, individuals, and teams of all sizes and configurations for the DC Headquarters and Missions worldwide.
The Role of Organizational Resilience Advisor
OR Advisors provide organizational leadership and team consultation and coaching services to support clients facing challenges involving morale, interpersonal conflict, team dynamics, organizational change, and various stressors to strengthen organizational and individual resilience. OR Advisors work virtually and in person to:

  • Design and deliver team-strengthening activities, retreats, team coaching, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Design and conduct assessments that include staff surveys, focus groups, individual interviews, and data analysis to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Facilitate interactive small and large group discussions, workshops, and webinars.
  • Provide leadership development services, including one-to-one coaching, leadership consultations, and advising.
  • Partner with external consultants and internal OR Advisors to achieve organizational development and team resilience results.

The Candidate
The KonTerra Group is seeking seasoned, team-focused organizational development professionals with:
  • At least five years of experience providing organizational leadership, team consultation and coaching services
  • Graduate degree or certification in organizational development or a related field.
  • Experience developing and delivering tools and resources for client engagements virtually and in person.
  • Experience working in developing country contexts and with international humanitarian and/or development organizations, including personnel from developing countries.
  • A demonstrated commitment to a strengths-based approach, an ability to think creatively about how resilience can be enhanced in organizational clients, and a track record of working collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to drive multiple projects while planning and managing progress to milestones.
  • Experience with assessment tools such as DiSC, and StrengthsFinder 2.0.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with USAID structure, culture, and processes.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and cross-cultural adaptability

Your Application Will Stand Out If You Have:
  • A coaching certification recognized by the International Coaching Federation or equivalent. Ability to work professionally in a language other than English. Spanish, French, and/or Arabic are highly preferred
  • Experience using ID Insights assessment tool and prior experience working on a government contract

The pay range for this role allows for the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At KonTerra, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000 to $145,000. The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate's qualifications and professional experience.
