Order Processing Specialist

As we continue to grow, we are looking to hire an additional Order Processing Specialist to our team! We are looking for someone that is versatile, organized, and has a great technical aptitude. This role will allow you to use your experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication to ensure the efficient flow of orders from receipt to production.

Impact Fab is a custom fabrication shop located in Holland, Michigan. We specialize in short run productions, machine build and part prototyping. Day to Day Role as an Order Processing Specialist includes but not limited to:

• Receive and review customer orders, ensuring completeness and accuracy of specifications
• Interpret customer drawings, blueprints, and specifications to generate production instructions and bill of materials (BOM)
• Work closely with Account Managers and production teams to ensure alignment on order requirements, timelines, and any special considerations.
• Enter orders in ERP System (JobBOSS2)
• Continuously evaluate and improve Order Processing workflows to enhance efficiency and minimize errors
• Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for improvement
• Maintain accurate records of orders, specifications, and communications to ensure traceability and accountability throughout the production process
• Provide guidance and support to production personnel on order requirements, ensuring clear understanding and adherence to specifications
• Occasional purchasing responsibilities and working with outside vendors as required

To be Successful as an Order Processing Specialist, we believe you will have the following:

• Prior experience in Order Processing, manufacturing, or metal fabrication industry highly desirable
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office, ERP systems (JobBOSS2), and CAD software preferred
• Critical thinking, judgement, and decision-making skills
• Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and solving customer challenges
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment with excellent communication skills and ethical conduct
• High level time management and organizational skills
