Order Picker Team Lead

Job Summary:

 The Order Picker Team Lead supervises and leads the team by assigning teammates daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of customer orders. 

Shift Availability:

5 8 hour shifts, must be available for a variety of shifts

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assists with hiring, coaching, training, and discipline of team members.

Provides constructive and timely performance feedback to teammates

Oversees the daily workflow; oversees scheduling and assignments of the assigned team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Receives orders from the order desk and retrieves goods from warehouse.

Accurately stocks customer orders.

Responsible for driving key performance indicators such as units per hour, order accuracy, dark time, etc.

Responsible for ensuring orders are of the highest quality, partners with relevant departments to resolve quality issues

Checks packing list for accuracy and inspects collected goods.

Delivers orders to shipping area for packing and updates computer ordering system.

Follows safety rules for warehouse when picking an order.

Keeps teammates informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.

Maintains detailed and accurate work records.

Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.

Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.

At least two years of warehouse, retail, delivery, fulfillment, or hospitality experience required.

Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred.

• Previous experience with order picking in an e-commerce business preferred

Food Manager certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Must have good hand/eye coordination.

Exposure to variable temperatures such as cold present in a refrigerated environment.

Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, walking, reaching, and carrying.

Exposure to loud noises such as horns, alarms, and phones ringing and constant interruptions.
