Job Overview:
The Order Administrator in the sheet metal industry plays a crucial role in facilitating the smooth and efficient processing of customer orders. This position involves coordinating and managing orders from initiation to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, and providing excellent customer service. The Order Administrator will collaborate with various departments to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality sheet metal products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Processing:
- Receive and review customer orders, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Input order details into the system, including product specifications, quantities, and delivery requirements.
- Verify pricing, discounts, and terms of sale in accordance with established policies.
2. Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise with sales representatives, production teams, and shipping departments to coordinate order fulfillment.
- Communicate with customers to confirm order details, provide updates, and address any inquiries.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials required for order fulfillment.
3. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and organized order records, including invoices, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Generate and distribute order confirmations and shipping notifications to customers.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to order status, inventory levels, and customer feedback.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the quality control department to ensure that products meet specified standards before shipment.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues, coordinating with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
5. Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling related products.
6. Problem Resolution:
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues related to order processing, including discrepancies, delays, or changes in customer requirements.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments for resolution.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance order processing efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and market demands.

Qualifications:
