We are in search of a Chief Engineerto join our Timber team at our Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

About the role
Reports to and works with the General Manager. Manages all areas of the property in a safe and timely manner. Maintain all buildings mechanical and physical plant, all interior areas and exterior building(s) to the highest degree of safety and appearance. Supervise all associates within the engineering department.
What will you be doing?
- Set up and oversee the preventative maintenance program of all mechanical areas, kitchens, guest rooms and public areas
- Oversee all Water Park mechanical operations
- Ensure safe and effective work control and productivity
- Strong communication skills and supervision of all engineering staff to include the preparation of employee evaluations, safety, payroll edits and scheduling
- Meet and work closely with all other Department Supervisors and assist with their needs
- Assist in the departmental, property operations, and capital improvement budgeting process
- Evaluate energy programs and implement conservation techniques as necessary
- Perform work orders and track through completion
- Trouble shoot and repair of boilers, chillers, pumps and all related mechanical/electrical equipment through out including kitchens
- Educate personnel regarding health hazards and safety compliance to ensure safe procedures and safe use of equipment at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
What do you bring to the role?
Education & Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the engineering field, with at least 5 being in a management role; previous experience as a Chief Engineer preferred; proven success at overseeing multiple entities preferably in a resort environment. Minimum of High School diploma required; four year degree highly preferred; certifications in HVAC, CFC, and boiler license are required and/or other areas of specialty highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Extensive working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical (high and low voltage), water park and pool operations, and conservation programs. Must have ability to lead by example; excellent communication skills - both written and verbal; strong organizational and planning skills. Extensive knowledge in trouble shooting and repairs in boiler, refrigeration, electrical and kitchen equipment required.
