Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer database structures, content, software instances and schemas, and configurations to ensure that database functionality supports application functions.
- Perform routine database configuration and maintenance tasks (e.g., database Tuning) to ensure that databases remain operating efficiently and with optimal performance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve database problems and conduct analysis and configuration activities to improve database performance.
- Implement upgrades, apply patches, and configure database for the latest EBS/OFF application and database software release/versions to ensure compliance and avoid extended support costs with Oracle support.
- Support development, test, quality assurance, and production database activities.
- Implement database and associated software and system changes to ensure compliance with Information Assurance, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Common Control Indicators (CCIs) and Vulnerabilities.
- Organize, prepare, update and develop (as required) database design documentation and SOPs for the databases to communicate database management structures, processes and procedures among the technical staff and to the customer.
Additional functions include:
- Installing and patching: Installation/upgrade, patching, configuration, and tuning of Oracle in cloud environment.
- Conduct Troubleshooting: Work with Oracle support, DBAs, developers, and users to resolve application problems.
- Perform Tuning: Develops DBA standards and tuning metrics and alert thresholds.
- Create Documentation: Maintains a complete set of application/database documentation describing the current configuration of the databases. Supports Security team with database documentation.
- Develop Best Practices: Attends conferences and gathers best practices and standards for tested implementation.
- UNIX: Must have a functional knowledge of Linux shell scripting including vi and file management commands.
Required:
- 7 or more years of relevant experience to include Oracle DBA experience in a Linux/UNIX environment.
- Experience with Oracle database v. 19c or 23c
- UNIX: Functional knowledge of Linux shell scripting including vi and file management commands.
- Working knowledge of Apache, Java, Perl scripting, patching, and Rapid Clone.
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication experience
- Managing the database using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Cloud Control.
- Additional experience: Linux, RMAN backup and recovery, Disaster Recovery, and configuring databases with high volume processing.
- Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) must interface with other DBAs, Application Administrators (AA), third-party system administrators, and the end-user community.
- Excellent communications skills. Must be able to communicate clearly, both orally and have excellent written communications skills.
- On site support in Aurora, CO to include 3 days and 2 telework days with approval.
- Active Comp TIA Security + certification or successfully obtain the Security+ certification within 6 months of hire date.
- Good understanding of the Oracle RDBMS, system administration functions, PL/SQL, migration of code associated with applications supported. Databases include the following applications:
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)/Cloud Control.
- Informatica (Control M)
- Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
- Prism
- Solutions Business Manager (SBM)
- Quality Center - QC (aka Application Lifecycle Management – ALM)
- Two Custom ColdFusion based applications: Management Tracking and Reporting/Performance Assessment Tracking (MTR/PAT) and Extranet
Desired:
- Experience with managing Oracle Database software, Data Warehouse experience a plus.
- Cloud Experience a plus (preferred: AWS)
- Knowledge of Data warehouse databases and other Custom off the Shelf (COTS) applications.

- MUST be a US Citizen, have a Public Trust.
Range: $95,000.00 to $115,000.00
