Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in providing surgical support within a Level 1 or 2 trauma center. The OR Tech will assist in various surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and efficient operation of the operating room.

  • 12 ORs
  • 20 Pre-Op bays
  • 14 PACU bays

• Required Experience: 2 years of OR experience in Level 1 or 2 trauma setting.

• Patient Types: Surgical (Urology/Neuro/Ortho/Robotic/General/Podiatry/ENT)

• Patient Ratios:

  • OR: 1:1
  • Pre-Op: 1:2
  • PACU Phase I: 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity
  • PACU Phase II: 1:2-3

• Required Certifications:

  • CST: BLS, graduation from an accredited school (required), CST (preferred)
  • SFA: BLS, CSFA (NBSTSA)

• Education Required:

  • CST: Associate Degree in a Healthcare related field OR CST certification
  • SFA: Associate Degree in a Healthcare related field

• Skills Required:

  • CST: 2 years of experience with the mentioned case types; Davinci XI and Craniotomy experience required for Trauma cases.
  • SFA: 2 years of experience with the mentioned case types

• Support on the Unit: Surgery RN/First Assist/Surg Tech, Nurse Clinician, CRN, Service Line Lead x2, HUC, Scheduler, Preference Card Analyst, OR Tech's x 1/case, Anesthesia

• Charting System/Equipment: EPIC

• Floating: CST/FA could float to Central Sterile Processing, as needed.

• Orientation: 1-week facility and unit orientation.

• Scheduling: Weekend rotation may occur every 3rd weekend; Call requirements may vary and subject to change.

• Holiday Expectations: Expected to work 2/4 major holidays.

• Other Notes: Scrub color provided, free parking available.
