The Analyst for the Laboratory Information System (LIS) is responsible for assisting with the management of the Clinical Laboratory computer system, including the interface to the hospital information system (HIS)

Responsibilities

• Ensures ongoing functionality of all LIS Systems, including but not limited to SunQuest, Telcor, EPIC, PowerPath, VoiceBrook and all interfaces associated with Lab systems.
• Resolves the complex technical computer problems, utilizing Information Systems staff resources as needed and providing consultation and advice.
• Collaborates with Laboratory managers/leads and others for operational efficiency in all phases of the laboratory.
• Ensures Laboratory IT complies with all accrediting agencies, including but not limited to Join Commission and CAP.
• In conjunction with the Laboratory Management team and Medical Director, is responsible for the Quality Improvement Program as it relates to LIS functions.
• Liaison between Laboratory, Trinity QC/Muscatine and all UPH affiliates on laboratory related IT issues and projects

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

Education:
Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science or Applied Science
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Laboratory Science, Biology or Chemistry.
Experience:
3-5 years of Laboratory Clinical Experience
>5 years of Laboratory Clinical Experience
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Professional Laboratory Credential from nationally recognized agency (Example: MLS, MT or HLT)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
