Minimum Requirements

Education:
Associate's Degree in Laboratory Science or Applied Science
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Laboratory Science, Biology or Chemistry.
Experience:
3-5 years of Laboratory Clinical Experience
>5 years of Laboratory Clinical Experience
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Professional Laboratory Credential from nationally recognized agency (Example: MLS, MT or HLT)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Reads, comprehends, writes & speaks fluent English
• Advanced computer knowledge, using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as web browser
• Clinical Laboratory knowledge & understanding

Responsibilities
- Ensures ongoing functionality of all LIS Systems, including but not limited to SunQuest, Telcor, EPIC, PowerPath, VoiceBrook and all interfaces associated with Lab systems.
- Resolves the complex technical computer problems, utilizing Information Systems staff resources as needed and providing consultation and advice.
- Collaborates with Laboratory managers/leads and others for operational efficiency in all phases of the laboratory.
- Ensures Laboratory IT complies with all accrediting agencies, including but not limited to Join Commission and CAP.
- In conjunction with the Laboratory Management team and Medical Director, is responsible for the Quality Improvement Program as it relates to LIS functions.
- Liaison between Laboratory, Trinity QC/Muscatine and all UPH affiliates on laboratory related IT issues and projects
