OR Circulator Registered Nurse - Plastic Surgery

At Sistine Plastic Surgery, we are seeking a driven, ambitious, and patient-centered Operating Room Circulator RN with a passion and interest in surgical aesthetic medicine to join our incredible team. Dr. Leong is a cutting-edge and double board-certified facial plastic surgeon based in the heart of Pittsburgh with several regional locations, who performs both surgical and non-surgical treatments. Dr. Leong and his team are looking for someone interested in growing professionally in our practice and with our team as we are planning significant expansion over the next few years.

We are seeking a candidate looking for a long-term and full-time career in plastic and aesthetic medicine, who is willing to travel to seven regional locations and has flexibility to work weekends.

Our ideal candidate is a dedicated team player, who is presently a full-time operating room circulator.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to act as a Plastic Surgery circulator. In addition to your role as a circulator, you will have the opportunity to learn and participate in non-surgical aesthetic procedures (eg. Botox and dermal filler injections, laser hair removal, skin treatments). This role is primarily based within the clinic and surgical/operating room settings, with primary focuses of working as a Plastic Surgery circulator and learning the skills necessary to become a competent cosmetic clinical, aesthetic nurse injector.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Circulate on all Plastic Surgery cases
• Assist with all in-office surgeries and ambulatory surgical center surgeries
• Assist with non-surgical treatments alongside Dr. Leong
• Provide suture removal, drain removal and, with training, suture placement
• Learn and perform the duties of a nurse scrub tech and post-anesthesia recovery unit nurse
• Follow up with post-surgical patients
• Perform skin care consultations and master the use of our in-house medical-grade skincare line
• Master and utilize the Electronic Medical Record to perform documentation for patient visits and treatments
• Perform a variety of administrative duties
• Perform consultations and have a comprehensive understanding of the full array of cosmetic services available at Sistine Plastic Surgery. These services include, but are not limited to: injectables such as neurotoxins and dermal fillers, laser hair removal, IPL, microneedling and RF microneedling, Ultherapy, Chemical Peels, Hydrafacials, Scalp PRP Injections

• Hourly

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Valid nursing license
• Presently working as a full-time circulator RN
• RN, BSN, or diploma from approved nursing program
• Ability to travel to seven regional office locations and ambulatory surgery center
• Ability to work weekends–including Saturdays and/or occasional Sundays
• Interest in the plastic and aesthetic field–both surgical and non-surgical procedures
• Willingness to learn about plastic surgical and aesthetic procedures and services
• Experience and/or willingness to learn various computer skills–including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Record Software

Preferred:

• Plastic Surgery, Aesthetic, Med Spa, and/or Dermatology experience
• Critical Care, PACU, Operating Room, and/or Surgical experience
• Previous cosmetic injectable experience (highly recommended)
