Job Summary and Qualifications

As the EVS Associate in the Operating Room you will play a vital role in maintaining competent care delivery to patients in our OR settings. Our team is amazing and we consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

• Under the direction of the OR Manager, and general supervision of the Circulating RN, you will consistently maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment as well as assisting in patient positioning and transport.
• You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
• You may perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.
• You will transport patients to and from various hospital and/or nursing units.
• You will assist in meeting the overall needs of the individual operating rooms relating to patient care. 

What qualifications you will need:

· American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

· Previous hospital experience preferred.
