Job Summary and Qualifications

As the OR Assistant you will be efficient and effective in maintaining competent care delivery to patients in our perioperative settings. Our team is amazing and we consider ourselves a family, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

In this role:

• You will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with your skills/training and the needs of the department.
• You will consistently maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment assisting in making sure rooms/carts are cleaned, adequately stocked and prepared.
• You will transport patients, X-Rays, lab tests etc. to and from the operating room.
• You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
• You will perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Idaho required.
