Optometrist

Siskiyou Eye Center—the premier eye care center serving Southern Oregon and Northern California—is seeking an optometrist to join our team. We are an established practice of 40 years, providing full-service eye care to our community. As we continue to grow, we have an immediate opportunity for an optometrist to step into a busy practice seeing both routine and medical patients in addition to cataract surgery post-operative exams.

We use state-of-the-art technology to give our patients a highly personalized experience and take pride in providing the best possible medical, surgical and optical eye care. Our practice consists of four ophthalmologists and an optometrist. You will be supported by the doctors and our tenured staff who embody a personal, caring approach to treatment. We are looking for an affable, talented and motivated optometrist to join our thriving practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide primary eye care services to patients.
• Conduct comprehensive eye exams for adults and children.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing ophthalmic surgery.
• Diagnose and treat eye diseases and conditions.
• Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and preventive measures.
• Refer patients to other healthcare professionals as needed.

Offices are located in Ashland, Oregon and Yreka, California. Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Southern Oregon University. The town is micropolitan with all of the advantages of a city but without the drawbacks. Ashland is the cultural hub of the Rogue Valley with a vibrant downtown business district and several parks including Lithia Park, a ninety-nine-acre haven adjacent to the historic downtown plaza. Our area is home to the summer Britt Music Festival, attracting top music and comedy acts from around the country.

Southern Oregon offers many options for families, including a science center, a children’s museum, an active YMCA with summer programs, a rock gym, and amazing schools with top-tier sports and music programs. Outdoor activities abound including camping, hiking, downhill and
