Job Overview:
Solo Practice Ophthalmologist would like Optometric assistance on Tuesdays and/or Fridays at Eye Care For Nevada.
At a minimum, Applicants should possess a Nevada Optometry License and be credentialed with Medicare .
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, utilizing your expertise to improve the vision and overall eye health of our patients. The days that are available for this position are Tuesdays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and assessment of ocular health
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or other vision aids as necessary
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and opticians, to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient
Skills:
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient information
- Knowledge of ophthalmology procedures and techniques
- Ability to perform basic vital signs measurements
- Familiarity with optical equipment and instruments used in eye examinations
- Understanding of aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment during procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care
- Solid understanding of ocular anatomy and physiology
