Responsibilities:
- Schedule eye examinations in person and over the phone, integrating them into our EHR
-Schedule eye examinations and communicate electronically through our software scheduling system
-Schedule medical examination over the telephone or by walk in appointment request
-Be efficient in obtaining pertinent health history data and reason for visit information prior to doctor examination
-Perform specialized test on each patient to obtain pertinent patient data and transfer to EHR
- Check patients into our office and check them out, receiving payment and providing receipts to patients.
-Assist doctor in providing prescriptions for glasses and contact lens, contact lens trials to patients and be proficient and accurate in sending prescription over electronically
-Responsible for cleaning office before, during patient care time and after office hours
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to optometry
- Experience working in a medical office setting
- Specialization or interest in pediatric optometry
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of various eye systems and functions
- Familiarity with front desk procedures in an optometry practice
- Understanding of ophthalmology practices and procedures
- Skill in administering eye drops for diagnostic purposes
- Strong physiology knowledge related to the eyes
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices

Pay: From $18.75 per hour
