```Duties:```
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity and detect any ocular abnormalities or diseases.
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, such as refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or other vision aids as necessary.
- Perform specialized procedures, such as fitting and adjusting eyeglasses or contact lenses.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage patients' overall health and well-being.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry and incorporate new techniques and technologies into practice.
```Requirements:```
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state license to practice optometry.
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology, including the diagnosis and treatment of various eye conditions.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, seniors, and individuals with special needs.
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing procedures.
- Familiarity with optical equipment and instruments used in eye examinations.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during certain procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care and effectively communicate with patients about their eye health.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to the visual system.
