Marshfield Medical Center - Rice Lake is seeking a BC/BE Optometrist to join our team! The Optometrist is a skilled member of the allied health team who provides general optometric services to patients according to the philosophy and practice objectives established by Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) and the Department of Ophthalmology. The Optometrist works independently, exercising sound clinical judgment and a commitment to customer focus, people orientation, system integration, and financial stability. The Optometrist demonstrates leadership and professionalism as a center citizen when acting as a representative of the MCHS and develops professional relationships within the community to promote and grow the practice.

With a population of just over 9,000, Rice Lake has many of the offerings of city life, nestled among some of the most beautiful features nature has to offer. The district consists of six elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. Rice Lake is a popular summer resort area as well as a playground for those who enjoy swimming, boating, water-skiing, and fishing. Held each winter just north of Rice Lake is the biggest cross-country skiing event in the nation, the Birkebeiner. Culturally, Rice Lake offers the Red Barn Players Summer Theatre and Art Center as well as the Northern Star Theatre. In the summer many residents of Rice Lake enjoy the splash pad, Turtleback golf course, and the Moon Lake Park with soccer fields. Fun Fact: Each summer, enjoy all that the city’s 10-day Aquafest festival has to offer, such as national musical acts, carnival rides, food and family activities.
