An independently owned private practice, specializing in eye health care for all ages, has an immediate full-time opportunity to work directly with patients in the exam room! We are seeking a responsible individual to join our clinical team as an Optometric Technician & Patient Specialist. This is an unique opportunity to provide unmatched patient care in a team focused environment.
Essential Duties:
Screening patients, including pre-testing and data entry
Special/additional testing as deemed necessary by the doctor (visual fields, OCT, A-Scan, etc.)
Communicating patient needs to the doctor
Explaining details of patient care to relevant parties
Assisting with the organization and ordering of contact lenses
Liaison between doctors and specialty contact lens cases
Patient follow-up as needed
Prescription verifications, calling in prescriptions to pharmacies
Facilitating communication between our office and other offices as needed for co-management of patient care
Secondary Duties:
Maintain records, schedule appointments, authorize insurances, correspondence, and filing
Assist in light cleaning and maintaining the office appearance
Assisting with optical orders
Answering phones, greeting patients, checking patients in and out of exams
Other special projects as requested
Job Requirements:
Education / Experience- High School diploma or equivalent

Salary Negotiable - Optometry experience is preferred but not required.

Must be able to work Monday through Friday and the occasional Saturday morning as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
