Dunbar Eye Associates is seeking an Optometric Assistant to join our team. We are an independent optometry practice in Dunbar, West Virginia, serving the greater Kanawha Valley.
No optometry experience necessary. We provide on-the-job training.
We're looking for candidates who are eager to learn a new field and build a career as well as experienced candidates with a demonstrated history of reliable attendance and strong worth ethic.
Job Duties Include
- Perform pretesting, screening, and diagnostic testing
- Scribe in the exam room
- Answer phones and schedule exams
- Make referrals and coordinate with other provider offices
- Assist with optical sales and dispensing tasks
- Train patients how to use contact lenses
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn EMR system;
- Ability to multi-task with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, bright, and detail-oriented
- Strong technical ability

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent; preference will be given to candidates with college degrees in a relevant field. Competitive pay and benefits.
