Front Desk Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner - Check-In/Check-Out patients
- Verify Health & Vision insurance benefits prior to visit
- Answer multi-line phone system
- Schedule patient appts
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents
Optical Responsibilities:
- Greet/Acknowledge patients in a timely manner - Verify Vision insurance benefits - Assist in fitting/styling patients into new frames - Dispense/Adjust/Repair glasses - Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide efficiently is a must - Clean and inspect glasses in preparation for dispensing
Experience:
- Medical Office experience is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using computer systems and software
- Familiarity with retail sales is an asset
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records is important
