Small but busy private optometry practice is excited to announce we are looking to bring on a new Optical Sales Associate who wants to grow with our small but growing optometry practice! We are looking for a full-time experienced Optical Sales Associate. Must have at least 1 year of optometric experience.
Our office is open Monday through Thursday (9am - 5pm) and Friday (8am - 5pm). We are open one Saturday every other month (9am - 2pm). We are closed all major Federal holidays (with pay). We are a laid back office and believe in work/life balance.
Pay is based on experience and merit. We conduct a 90 day, 6 month, and 1 year performance review.
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. Optical Sales experience is a must. The candidate must have strong sales experience, be able to multi-task, time management, and have great customer service skills.
Position: Optical Sales Associate
Responsibilities. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Eyewear sales
- Ensure accurate patient information is obtained
- Ensure that correct products are created per specifications per order
- Ability to make recommendations based on prescription, and latest fashion trends and patients’ needs
- Compliance with Company’s policies and procedures
- Compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Performs eyewear maintenance as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the retail space to keep it organized and inviting for our customers
- Assist in maintaining inventory
- Assist in the store opening and closing processes
- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
- Dispense, adjust and repair glasses to ensure the customer is completely satisfied with the way the look and feel
- Assist and educate customers with eyeglasses and lens selections
Essential Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Knowledge of current ophthalmic products and optical measurements required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish will be a plus.
- Passion for fashion and style, and helping customers find frames that fit their personality
- Two or more years of optical/eye care experience
- Organized and detail oriented
- All technical duties of an Optician
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
