This position is located within the Florida Center for Reading Research. Work will be performed on campus in the Psychology Building under the direction of Dr. Richard Wagner.
ResponsibilitiesThe role includes both administrative and research responsibilities. Training will be provided. Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the project. CITI Certification (Human Subjects training will be done on the job if needed).
- Scheduling meetings.
- Purchasing.
- Reviewing budget materials.
- Human Resources items for the lab.
- Compiling data in regards to 2025 human subjects materials.
- 2025 NIH federal reporting.
- Day to day running of the lab.
- Coordinate meta-analytic studies under the direction of Dr. Wagner.
- Proof reading papers and materials.
- Interface with the 3 other projects and 3 cores of the NIH grant (The Collective).
- Participate in FCRR meetings.
- Assist with the project Advisory Board.
- High school diploma/equivalent.
- Experience with administrative tasks.
- Strong proofreading skills.
- Have at least some experience with Zotero, Excel, Word, Teams, and Covidence.
- Well organized, reliable, and able to follow very specific instructions.
- Some research and administrative experience.
- A master’s degree (or in process).
- Has CITI (human subjects training) a plus, but can be completed on the job.
The WagnerLab is funded by an NIH P50 grant and constitutes Project 1 of this grant. Project 1 is called, Advances in Classification and Identification for Specific Learning Disorders in Reading. The project is in year 17 of 20 years. This cycle (year 15-20) we are partnering with Dr. Mercedes Spencer at Northwestern University.

The anticipated starting salary for this role will range between $17/hour - $22/hour based on education and experience.

Schedule: approximately 25 hours/week on-site at FSU's Tallahassee Campus. The schedule can be flexible, though generally hours are Monday through Friday.
