Job Summary:
The OCOM Research Coordinator / Lab Manager will oversee the daily operation of the OCOM research laboratory and will provide hands-on support to OCOM faculty and student research projects within the laboratory.
Position Start Date: July 01, 2024.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for laboratory supply and reagent ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory.
- Provide technical and bench research support to OCOM faculty and students.
- Broad range of research laboratory skills including (but not limited to) sterile mammalian cell culture, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, PCR, ELISA and others.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Apple products or related software.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be local to the Central Florida area.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in a biological/health sciences field
- Three (3) years research laboratory technical experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
